I wrote several games while in high school, a Christmas Elf shooter and an action and a strategy game both based on Battle Tech. However there was only one game which had the potential to be a shareware mega hit!
MotQuest was a Dungeon Crawler based on Heroes Quest. Coming in at over 6,000 lines of Pascal, it included four programs; a game engine, a dungeon editor, a graphics editor and a graphics rotater. Yes, it's true back in the day we had to make tools to make graphics files and to rotate them. My friend Thomas used the graphics editor to draw the graphics. Mot is Tom backwards.
